Cairo - Mubasher: The deputy governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE), Gamal Negm, said that clients total US dollar sales to banks in the Egyptian market reached $16.2 billion since freeing exchange rates until now.
Negm added in a conference on small medium businesses on Monday that foreign exchange outcome to the Egyptian banking sector in the ten-month period prior to the pound flotation totalled $6.6 billion.
Imports of EGP 14 billion has been carried out and financed by the banking sector since November until now, the deputy governor added.
